Up for bids is this early vintage Motor Drive originally designed for the Canbon professional F-1 SLR camera.
This rather bizzare looking design was Canon's first attempt at a winder for their pro level SLR. It did accomplish it's purpose of auto winding the film, it wasn't exactly the most ergonomic looking piece of hardware
. It required an external battery pack (see my other listings), in order to get power to operate.
As you can see from the photos, this specimen is used, with typical wear. Some corrosion on some screw heads. Paint loss and scuffing. As grading cosmetics is subjective, I photographed all sides for you to make your own cosmetic assessment.
The unit was tested with an MD battery pack (see my separate listing) and the unit wound freely. I do not have an F-1 body to test it fully to ensure it is winding on the camera properly.
Please be aware of this as it is being sold as is.
We specialize in Nikon gear, not Canon, so we don't normally get Canon gear in to know exactly how everything is supposed to operate.
