Pristine Vintage 1950s Girl Doll (17")--refurbished. Condition is "Used". Shipped FREE with USPS Mail.
This is a doll I have had since the early to mid-50s.  The doll was originally dressed in a white wedding dress with veil.  Three years ago I had her refurbished by a professional doll restorer in Nassau,  NY.  She has a new 50s style outfit and her hair has been restored to its original style.  The doll has a very beautiful, realistic face with a perfect pink mouth and blue eyes that open and shut with thick lashes.  The doll has been much loved and well cared for in a smoke-free home.  Her legs bend where they meet her body, but they do not bend at her knees.   Her legs are stiff so that she can "walk".  When one leg takes a step forward, the doll's head turns.   When she lies down her eyes are closed, and when she is upright, her eyes are open.  Her arms can be moved from her sides to an outstretched position.  She has a couple of very small nicks in her legs that are not highly noticeable.  There is a small vertical fissure from age under the back of the wig/hair. The capital letter "B" and what looks like a "P" or "F" appear at this almost hidden spot. It is possible this is a R + B Nanette doll, but I really cannot say for sure.  The doll would look lovely sitting on a shelf, or as a prop in a play, or as a companion for a little girl.
