    Description

    Early rare antique A. B. Dick pencil sharpener marked "PLANETARY PENCIL POINTER MADE BY A. B. DICK COMPANY CHICACO, U.S.A. U.S. PAT. MAR. 17 1896. ALSO PAT'D IN ENGLAND, FRANCE GERMANY AND BELGIUM" on brass plate. Original drawer intact. Drawer latch intact and functions properly. Pencil clamp intact and functions properly. Original spring intact and strong. Function is smooth and quiet with no looseness; crank operates smoothly. Screws loosen easily to position legs for wall mount; currently in desk or table mount position. Cast iron has no cracks or breaks. Excellent condition with some minor paint loss from usage with a few tiny paint splatters from room wall paint.
    A very well made piece of early office machinery manufactured for use in schools, universities, offices, labs, and drafting studios. Super nice and untouched patina with only a light cleaning and oiling.
    Would make an excellent addition to any mechanical cast iron collection. DON'T MISS THIS ONE!!
