    Description

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN CAST IRON SWING ARM PLANT STAND 12 holders. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. This stand is antique and used so it does have some wear. It appears that this piece was repainted in the 1920s based off of the paint sample. The original color appears to be fire engine red. What is rare about this piece is that it holds 12 violets instead of the normal 10.
☆Interesting facts about this piece and its ownership. This plant stand was retrieved from a house known as Pearsons Mill. Part of the Underground Railroad it served as the initial meeting point for slaves in Guthrie County north of Stuart, owned by Quaker John Pearson. Later in history it was just down 3.4 miles down the road from the Bonnie in Clyde shootout. The property was owned by a family friend who decided to sell it.
The stand is just over 42 inches high and has 9 swing arms and holds a total of 12 plants, candles, or violets. Each holder is 5 inches in diameter and marked "4902-29" on bottom of each holder dish. Each arm is stamped "4902-27"  the overall weight is around 35 to 40 lbs.  It will not arrive to you disassembled and will be packaged nicely and ship in a heavy duty box.
