She is 16" tall, a walker type doll with:
a hard plastic jointed body,
sleep eyes,
open mouth with teeth
and a braided brown wig,
Body in excellent clean condition. No stains, No smells, no missing parts.
Back Marked: Made in U.S.A 170.
These LuAnn Simms dolls were produced by one of these companies: Horsman, Roberta, or Valentine
Her walking mechanism works great, head turns nicely from side to side with moving legs (walking).
Her face paint is excellent, her eyes open and close perfectly.
Full lashes with painted-on lower lashes, open red lips with a row of realistic "teeth".
Her hair is a wig very tightly attached. Original bows in braids. Thers are a couple hairpins in the front. I have not attempted to change the hair or fix it. Could use a little fine tuning where frizzy in front bangs.
Not sure what the rubber band is for but I've seen in in other Luann dolls.
Her clothes consist of:
a light salmon slip with atttached panty
one-piece dress with puff sleeves and attached bow
matching hooded cape with ties, red trim and matching "pockets".
Light salmon slip has no closures and fabric fraying near collar in back.
Dress in great condition except blouse has a small rip near collar in back and teeny light purple stain on front.
Cape excellent except for discoloration (light color bleed?) to fabric (see pic of cape back)
Unattached "Walking Doll" sash. Shoes overall poor condition.
Clothes appear to be original but shoes are probably not.
Doll probably came with socks and plastic shoes (but not sure).
