Vintage 1950s Athena Piacenza Doll 18" Italy Antique Italian Sleepy Eyes
This listing is for an authentic vintage Athena Piacenza hard body doll from the 1950's.
She measures about 18" tall and was made in Italy Piacenza and is marked “Athena Piacenza 40 P” on the back of her torso and has ATHENA 40 stamped on the back of her neck. She has jointed head, arms and legs, which are still stringed. She also has a squeaker box in her abdomen, which isn't working. She has black mohair and upper eyelashes. She has blue sleepy eyes and red lipstick. She has some scratches on her face and places where her paint has worn off. Her fingernails are painted red and her body is painted in deep pink flesh tones. Doll is in good condition. She was found in a barn with a bunch of other dolls, so there is a bit of an odor. It is not a smoke odor. A few body marks and some cracking, mainly on hands and shoulder area. Eyes open and close perfectly. Some dirt and stains to clothing that may be able to be cleaned.
